Learning to Share

We had Chinese food for dinner and after Georgia ate a good amount and was finished I pulled to fortune cookies out of the bag. Before I could even ask her if she wanted one she said "Mama share." Not like she was asking but like she was telling.

Almost Sentences

Yesterday afternoon I was standing in the kitchen with G when she noticed her art she had made at school laying there. She looked at it and pointed to the fridge and said "Art here."
So I hung the painting on the fridge and she said "Daddy show home." I said "Yeah," and then she turned to walk down the hall and said "Georgia made." So for anyone who doesn't speak toddler we have, "Mama will you hang my art on the fridge so when Daddy gets home I can show him what I made." Pretty fun.

Whose Turn?

I finally broke down this week and decided to brush the dogs. With a black pug and a German Shepard roaming the beige carpet day in and day out, this is not something I should have put off. So Darby was sleeping and I thought it would be a fun activity for Georgia and me. I got the brush and we went out on the screened-in porch and I started brushing Glory (Shepard). Georgia thought this looked like real fun and grabbed at the brush and said "mine."

I said "No baby girl, it is Momma's turn."

Two seconds later, "Mine" along with futile grabs at the brush.

Again, "No baby girl, it is Momma's turn."

She stood there for a minute thinking and then looked at me and very seriously said, "Mama, Georgia's turn."

It is always so fun when she says something she has never said before and then so scary knowing this is something she is going to use and use lots.

Shots Today

Darby went for her 2-month check-up today. She got 2 shots and will be getting another next moth and the rest on a bit of a delayed schedule, which I feel really good about. She weighed 10lbs 11oz (50%) and is 23.75" long (85%).

And here is Georgia after her 2-month shots. She weighed in at 10lbs even and was 22" long.

Speaking of Kitties

I told G we were going to get some baby kitties and that she would be able to hold them. The whole way there (which was 20 minutes) she repeated "Kitty cat hold" over and over and over.

The Kitties

This one is little enough Georgia can hold it and it doesn't really claw her.

This one, on the other hand is a bit fiestier.

The Valley

Barbara and Billy returning from a ride in the valley with Denny.
This is at the far end of the pasture looking back at Mary and Denny's woods.

The riders: Gleason, Bob, Little G, Big V, and Darby in the sling.

This is up at the wood-line looking back down at the field. We were in the far corner by the pond when we took the first picture.

If you look closely, you can see a clear spot in the woods right in the middle of the picture that looks back up at my parents house.

My brother on his new dirt bike.

Bubbles Bubbles

This is what Georgia and Daddy did this morning while Mama was out running.
