But I will. Darby is truly an amazing little girl. Everyday I am intrigued by what she knows and what she is capable of. Here is a laundry list of what she can do:
-Point to her head, nose, foot, tummy, ear when asked
-Do all the gestures to the hand verse of Hokey Pokey (including spinning around)
-Go from sitting to standing without the use of her hands
-Initiate the words momma, Matt, Jack, Tucker, bird, that, hot, cracker,gran-mamma
-In our night night book point to, when asked, the dog, squirrel, moon, bug, flower
-Sign finished, more and nurse (those are the only ones I really do)
-Eat anything(she had hummus and tabouli for lunch)
-If she sees a dog or hears one bark, she barks (buff)
She is so affectionate as well. She will get a baby doll and crawl up in my lap for cuddles when she wants a break from playing. She loves to hug Georgia and the dogs and she will lay her head on them and give pats.
Her first year was trying at times and frustrating at others but I am so pleased with where we are now and so excited to see what the second year will bring. Darby has been a real blessing and is so special to me in so many ways. Happy birthday angel baby.
