Georgia's 6th Birthday

Georgia's birthday was on a Sunday so we had a small family party at my mom's house where she got gifts from her parent's and grandma and Debo and uncle Matt and Aunt Kiki.  She was so sweet and gracious about everything she got.

The Friday after her birthday we had a party for the girls from her class at my mom's house.  We rented the same bouncy house we used for Darby's party and luckily the weather was great.
I planned a scavenger hunt for the kids that included a candy fairy hidden in the woods.  I have never seen a bunch of little girls go so crazy.

Here I am handing out the maps.
The hunt took them all up and down the land looking for shiny rocks, flowers and feathers.

At the end they gave their stuff to the candy fairy to get their reward.

Georgia wanted a star cake so I made one and then made cupcakes to go with it for ease of serving.

Nanue and Big Papa's Spring Visit

Nanue and Big Papa came for Darby's birthday adn were to bring the cousins from Amarillo with them.  we had such a good time and wish our cousins lived closer.
Big Papa reading to Jack and Darby.  Jack is 9-months older than Darby.
The art table was a gathering place all weekend.

We discovered we have a fruiting mulberry tree a the edge of our woods so we put the kids to work picking fruit for dessert.
I made a cobbler and it tasted just like blueberry cobbler.
Again with the reading.  It was fun that Caroline could read to the kids (she is 9).
They took a trip to the zoo.

Rest time with Nanue
We had a joint party for Darby and Georgia with cupcakes and presents.

And since a birthday is not complete without doughnuts, we did that too.
