Pirates, Opossums, Puzzles, Pugs and More!

I came home after dark one night to find this little guy on our porch looking for a ride.  The kids go to see him and were both excited and curious.  The next morning Darby ran out to see if he was still there.  He, of course, was not.
Darby is an animal lover of all kinds.  she is so patient with our pets and by far acknowledges them more than the other two kids.  She has a sweetness about her when is comes to animals that I just adore.

The twins had a pirate party for their birthday and we got all dudded up like pirates for it.  Mera was the most into it and so excited to go to her cousins party.
Georgia and I took a walk by ourselves recently and I got some really sweet pics of her as the sun was going down.  She is such a special little girl.  She is letting her hair grow out until it is as long as Rapunzel's.  .
Mera is the most interesting sleeper in our house.  She falls asleep with all kinds of props and in all kinds of positions.  I always go in and check on her to see what she has been up to.  Her are some examples:

She is on a towel in our hallway in this one.
Sometimes she sleeps in our room on the floor and ends up with company.
It's no wonder she needs all that sleep at the rate her little brain is growing.  She is a puzzle-master and can do the 25-piecers all by herself.

A Toothless Monster

Darby has been dropping teeth like crazy.  She lost one on Jan. 8th and another 3 by the 12th.
