Pumpkin Carving

We did carve a couple of jack-o-lanterns this year. They were not afraid to get in there and get messy.

We have some small, rechargeable, fluorescent flash lights so I let the girls put those inside and have control over their own pumpkin. Pretty good idea I think.

The flashlights actually made a pretty cool glow.

Georgia wanted a happy face while Darby wanted a scary one.

Favorite Places

One of our favorite places to stop and get dessert is Petty's in Utica Square.
The girls love the cupcakes with the decorative skewers.

Lovin' on baby sister.

Luchapalooza

We took the girls to the first Tulsa Luchapalooza and had a decent time. It scared the girls a little bit because there were men in masks and lots of noise. I think Matt probably enjoyed it the most. Here is a Luchador on the roof getting ready for battle.

Darby responding the the Roman candles that were set off.

Me wearing the mask G made.

Darby in the car in the mask she made.

We went over to Mary's house to scare them.

Scary indeed.

G's 1st Field Trip

We are so lucky Matt is such a good Daddy who takes time to be with the girls and spend time doing things they like. His schedule works such that he is able to take most Friday mornings and be with the girls so I can work. G's first field trip to the pumpkin patch fell on a Friday so he was able to chaperon and take Darby to join the fun. G still rode the bus with her friends and Daddy met her there. Before the bus got there D got to chase some chickens.

And pet a goat.

Here they are getting off the bus.

And Darby with her boyfriend from G's school.

I don't really know what is going on here but it looks like fun.

Opossum Release

Mary caught a baby opossum to show the girls and then she let them help release it. The dogs helped too.

Then she let them dispose of rotten potatoes by tossing them into the woods. The potatoes, not the kids.

Race For the Cure 2010

Today was the Race for the Cure here and I am proud to say that 10-weeks post pardum I ran the 5K with my mom. We have run it together since it started in Tulsa and I was not going to miss it. It will always be a special race for me since my mom is a survivor. In running I celebrate my Mom, my Aunt Jane and my cousin Michelle.

Here we are post race. Aunt Kiki was gracious enough to hold Mera while I ran.

My amazing Mommy.

And Mera asleep again.

We do our part for the race and provide all of the awards for the runners. Here is a shot of the trophies we made this year.
