My Sweet G

I just wanted to take a minute to express how much I enjoy my oldest child. I know it has to be a little hard for her right now because we have the baby, who is super-cute, but takes up a lot of my time and attention. Then we also have Darby, who is also super-cute, but also demanding and sometimes a bit hateful to her big sister.
Here are some of the things I love about Georgia:
1. She is always happy. She rarely has a bad mood or fit and instead chooses to spend her days helping and smiling.
2. Which brings me to what a big helper she is. She loves to help cook and clean and run errands around the house for me. A special thing for her to get to do is go to my mom's alone and help her cook dinner.
3. She is very affectionate. She always has hugs and kisses to give out, especially to her sisters and her best friend from school. Recently her little friend was having a hard time and Georgia said she spent part of the day just sitting with her friend at school so she wouldn't be sad instead of going to "centers."
4. She is a wonderful big sister. She is working so hard on learning how to deal and handle all of Darby's various moods. It is a lot of work for me, I can only imagine how hard it is for G to stay on an even keel with Darby all day. But she does it and they play together wonderfully. She is so maternal towards Mera and would sit and hold her all day if I let her. Mera, in return, lights up when she sees G and laughs harder at the things she does than anyone else.
5. She is so smart and has such a desire to learn. This speaks for itself, but everyday she surprises me with the things she says like, "who is the author of this book?"

Mera is up now so I better publish before I loose my chance. I could go on and on...

...So I will pick up where Virginia left off:

(Matt Gleason)
First off, all of the amazing things found in our precious Georgia are found in her mama. So here's a few other things to love about G.
1. She's an artist. Paper's lucky to have her painting it.
2. She loves to learn. Lately, one of my favorite things is helping her do her homework (she actually digs it). And she never fails to surprise me when she's working one-on-one with Petra, the kind lady who comes by the house on Wednesday nights to teach G. I suspect Petra also gets a kick about how G is such a smart and ever-curious student.
3. Georgia falls asleep on the couch to let her baby sister go to bed easier in their shared room. G doesn't much like the couch, but she's a sweet girl to take a hit for the team. She'll soon have a room of her own. Until then, I love carrying a sleeping Georgia to her bed once D's asleep.
4. She holds my hand when I walk her to class and she lights up when I pick her up from school. That always makes my day.
5. She gives as much hell (and love) as she takes from Darby.
Like Virginia said, I could go on and on...

G is an absolute sweetheart. Today I came tearing through Mary and Denny's frantically looking for Byrne -- she ran up "Aunt KIKI!" and gave me a big ol' hug. As if to say -- "it's all good, breathe in Aunt Kiki, breathe out."

As Georgia's Nanue I have to say that my sweet Georgia makes my heart smile when I think of her. She is everything and more that her momma and daddy shared! We are so blessed to have her in our lives.
Thanks Georgia for being Nanue's sweet girl. I love you and treasure my time with you.
Thanks for making my heart smile !!! Nanue
