Tulsa Children's Museum

We are so excited that we are getting a permanent home for the Tulsa Children's Museum right down the street from our house.  There is not much out in our neck of the woods like that so this will be a big deal for us.  It will be housed at the Owen Park rec center and they had a day of activities in the park to celebrate.  I took the older girls and it was so much fun.  Darby loved the science and Georgia loved the gymnastics and yoga.  They are hoping to open it this spring.

Friday Nights Next Door

We spend most Friday nights over at my mom's house where we get to see my brother and the twins along with my parents and often times my sister.  It has been kind of a family tradition since we were in college.  If we were coming home for the weekend we would always try to be back in time for "Nacho Night."  It is great that the cousins are getting to know each other and that we all live so close and enjoy each other so much.

Georgia lost a tooth this Friday night.  She is getting such a big girl smile!

Spider Eyes

Darby wanted her spider costume to be authentic so she told me she wanted to have eight eyes.  I bought some googly eyes but before Halloween got here she stuck them all over her face.  At one time.

Halloween

Oh how I love Halloween.  I got to make the two little ones costumes this year and Georgia's was "buyable" so I went that route with her.  We will start with Mera who wanted to be Mickey Mouse.   She has latched onto all things Mickey Mouse and it started as a fluke when she began carrying around a little stuffed Mickey Mouse.  He became quite important to her so, of course, we fed this obsession and it has grown and morphed into a Minnie Mouse obsession, but I digress.

Here is Mera her school Halloween parade.

Here is Analiese at the same parade.  She and her sister were bumble bees.
Here is Genevieve
Georgia wanted to go as Pocahantas so I ordered a costume from amazon and called it good.  This is her at a friends costume birthday party.
Here she is with two of her classmates.
Darby wanted to be a black widow spider and there were no options for buying a costume that I could find so I made it.  It was really fun and turned out great.  It was even functional enough for the car.  Here we are on out way to the Boo Ha Ha Parade.

Halloween night came and we got crazy with the makeup and black hair spray.

Debo and Analiese getting ready to trick-or-treat.
This is right before Darby was done wearing her web.
Mera was awesome.  She went to about 10 houses and then declared "I have nough" and stopped going up to houses for candy.  She just rode along in her stroller and ate and watched.

The rest of the pictures are just ones I liked so I thought I would throw them up here.  Enjoy!

Crazy Hair Day

Georgia had crazy hair day at her school so I braided all of it and let her sleep on it.

This is what we got the next day.

Pumpkin Patches 2012

Nanue came to town in Oct. and we had so much fun.  As the girls get older it gets easier to get out and do things as a group.  I don't get left home with the baby anymore and I really enjoy getting to spend time with my in-laws when they are here.

We went to a special night at one of the church pumpkin patches that was specially for the Deaf/HOH community.  I am so thankful for TSHA and all that I have learned from them.  It is so nice to be able to expose Georgia to other kid like herself with a hearing loss.

Then during Fall Break I took the girls to a Pumpkin patch outside of Sand Springs.  We took a hay ride and did the corn maze and just ran and played.  Ont the way back we stopped for pancakes for lunch at a road side diner.  I love pancakes for lunch.

Cousin Fun

We have been goign to the Guthrie Green on Sunday afternoons if the weather is nice and meetin up with Matt and Kiki and the twins.  The girls sure like those babies and are so good with them.  Don't know if I've mentioned this on the blog but Kiki is pregnant again with a little girl and will have the baby in Late Feb. We are all most excited!

Fair Fun

I did a strange thing this year with the fair and one I may choose to repeat in years to come.  I took each girl by herself.  Matt never went and we didn't have a big family outing like we have in the past.  It was so much more fun for ma and I think for them.  They got to do exactly what they wanted the whole time without having to wait on anyone else or do what others wanted.  I had a better time because of the above listed.

I started with G and we went with a friend of hers so she could ride rides.  She was very into it this year and I am afraid I will have to buy her a Mega Pass next year so she can ride everything she wants.  Here she is with her friend and her friends mom.

I then took Darby and I thought it would be short-lived.  She is prone to over stimulation so I was most surprised when we ended up staying for over 4 hours and having a wonderful time.  That kids is lots of fun.  She really wanted to ride a pony and do the sky ride, which we did.

Mera and I went one morning while the girls were in school and had fun as well.  We looked at the animals and ate a corn dog.  That's all a two-year-old can really get out of the Fair.

Hispanic Festival 2012

Every year the Spanish side of Georgia's school puts on a Hispanic Festival.  All the classes dress up and put on a little show, usually a dance.  Here are some pictures from G's 1st grade class getting ready to perform.

These last two photos were taken by my friend Kelly who does this on a more serious level.  See link.

The Cousins

My cousins (my mom's sister's son and his wife) from California came in for the Labor Day weekend.  They try to come once a year and this is the first time I have been baby-free/not pregnant so I really got to enjoy spending time with them.  We went to the casino and out to lunch and just had some fun kid-free time together.  They also go to spend plenty of time with the kids and the rest of the family.  Here we all are on the last day of their visit.
