Today

It has been oppressively hot here and I have not had too much reason to take pictures.  Today was actually only in the nineties so the kids went outside this evening by themselves for about 45 minutes.  I had forgotten what that was like and Matt and I actually had an uninterrupted meal.  After we ate I went out and snapped some pictures of them playing.

Georgia discovered a loose tooth today and won't stop fiddling with it.

This is my bean tepee.  I have watered it diligently in the drought but we have never had a been. The only thing that hangs out in it is the peacock and probably part of the reason I have no beans.  That bird probably eats them.

Baby Bunny

My brother's dog carried a baby bunny up to his porch one night while I was there and I stupidly took it from him before he hurt it.  Once I did that I realized I had to take it home and try to keep it alive.  It lived for over a week but I just don't think I did what was needed and ended up getting some milk it its lungs which probably did it in.  I didn't really let the kids handle it but Darby always wanted to put it back in its box after feedings so I let her.

Mera's 2nd Birthday

We started the festivities with Nanue the weekend before her birthday.  We had a party complete with presents and cupcakes.

You didn't have to ask Mera to blow out the candle.  She knew what to do.
She helped me clean up after I made the icing for her cake.
I made her a turtle cake since she is a fan of said reptile.

Again with the blowing.

Oh my goodness, who just turned 2?  She has the pout down to an art.

Fourth of July 2012

We had a great Forth this year.  We celebrated at my parents house with some of our friends and it was all about the kids.  I try every year to get good pictures of the kids on the Forth and I did okay this year.  (Again I have to give thanks to Nanue for the awesome outfits!!)

The twins are starting to get in on the group picture action.
Uncle Matt and his girls.
Mera had no fear of the water this year.  She would jump in and go way under, pop back up, and say, "Again!"

Georgia has become quite the fish as well.

The kids did well with the fireworks and no one was afraid.
Pokin' some burnt out snakes.
The smoke bombs were the favorite of course.

Well, actually Mera liked the cookies the best.

Horse Camp

I enrolled Georgia in a few different camps during the month of July and the first was horse camp.  Needless to say she loved it!
