Last Day of School 2014

Georgia had perfect attendance this year.  Not a single tardy, leaving early or day missed.  Where's my trophy?

We had a splash pad play date after school to celebrate the end.  Here is Darby with some of her friends and teacher.

San Francisco Sans Kids

We took our first leave of our kids together in 8 years since we started having them. Big thanks to Nanue and Big Papa for staying with them while we were gone. The following pictures are from our time in SF but can't begin to do justice to the amount of fun we had.  Being together and being with old friends was amazing.  It makes me smile just thinking about it.  We were able to fly first class and that was an amazing experience.

This photo is a bit of an inside joke

We were there for my friend Dave's wedding and what a wedding it was.  I can't even begin to describe how classy and fun the whole weekend was.
On the bus to Alcatraz.  The whole wedding party went together.

My husband's dream of In N Out was achieved while there.
They had a Hawaiian themed rehearsal dinner.

We got to meet up with my Cousin Blake and his wife for lunch and a tour of the city.

Me getting ready alone without 3 kids climbing on me and asking to put lipstick on.  It's the little things.

Kinder Graduate

Darby graduated from Kindergarten.  They had a little party to celebrate the commencement into the next grade.

This is her and her para teacher Srta. Elizabeth.  She was here just for the school year and then went back to Spain.  She was a wonderful teacher and I think Darby was so luck to have exposure to someone from Spain on a daily basis.
Her main teacher was Sr. Jorge and she loved him as well.  She had a great Kinder year.

Gone Fishin'

We found the most perfect day to go down to the pond and try to catch some fish.  Boy did we catch some fish.  One after the other as long as we wanted.  This is one of my favorite things to do and I am loving that the girls love it too.  Georgia was very into taking the

Confessions of a Breastfeeding Mother

Those who know me, know I'm pretty attachment parenting driven and have a pretty strong relationship with breastfeeding.  So it should not be a surprise that I am still nursing my 4-year-old.  Since this is my family blog  and I use it as a photo album I wanted to include this little card my Mera made me for mother's day.  I imagine this was a first for her teacher.

One Big Party

I decided to have one big party for both girls this year.  Since they both go to the same school there is a lot of sibling overlap a a big sense of community so I thought it would be fun to get the two groups together.  We did it on Friday night and invited both of their classes families.  We rented out the gym at a local church and had roller skating and a bounce house.  The girls had a blast and instead of presents raised money for the school library.

We served more that 100 hot dogs an date almost 2 cakes.
