Happy 6th Birthday

End of March, Early April

Here's another of Mera sleeping.  This time in her bathrobe with her pug dog.  

 My mom had some work done on her land adn the girls got to play around on the dozer.  

 Mera went roller skating for the first time at a skate night for the girls school.  She did very well really and left kicking and screaming.  

 Mera also had to go in for dental surgery because apparently I let her teeth rot out of her head.  She was a real trooper and I was glad to put it behind us.  

 Dental surgery makes a little girl pretty tired.

I don't even really know what to say about this.  Mary keeps a closet full of dress up clothes so you never know what might appear.  This witch dropped in one Friday night.  

 Matts company had their big fundraiser in early April so we got to have a night out all dressed up.  It really was the best party in town.  

Amarillo-Spring Break 2014

WE headed to Amarillo after school the Friday before spring break.  As has been our tradition, we stopped in elk City for the night so as not to wear the kids out too much in one day.  

 We were greeted by the Amarillo cousins upon our arrival and got to take a nice long walk and go exploring.

 I did  a little photo session with the kids so we would have some pictures of them together since we only see them about twice a year.  We also used the timer on my camera to get a whole family group photo.  

 Uncle Peter took me trout fishing in a stocked pond and I was in heaven.  It was a little chilly but catching a fish made it all worth it and the scenery was gorgeous.

 The deer and turkeys are like squirrels there, just everywhere.  The kids get a real kick out of it every time.  Georgia always keeps a running total of how many deer she sees and she got well over 150 this trip.  

Tulsa Cousins

The cousins certainly love each other and have so much fun together.  

Queen Bee

Georgia had a school performance in which she got to play the queen bee.  She was so excited and we started working on her costume last year after Halloween when costumes went on clearance.  She did a great job and, most importantly, had fun!

I have been running in the mornings occasionally so Matt has to get all the girls ready for school and out the door.  Mera showed up with this fancy do the other day and told me Georgia did it.  Pretty cool.  

Branson Trip

We've had such a miserable winter we decided to hit the open road and take a weekend trip to Branson.  My friend Dave, who lives in Houston, mother has been very ill and in a hospital in Springfield so I was going to get to rendezvous with him while we were there.  We went out to breakfast and he ordered a pancake and this is what it looked like when it was delivered.  Great food but he just ate the part that wasn't touching the tablecloth.

 We took the girls to a butterfly museum and they loved it.  We got to walk around and see a bunch of different species and let them land on us.  We hope to go back in the summer when it isn't such a ghost town.
