Darby Turns 6!

Darby was deathly ill on her birthday this year.  She missed almost the whole week of school and I was really worried she was going to be sick on the day of her party but she rebounded and had a great birthday party.  We actually spent the Monday night of her birthday t urgent care after she was running a 103 fever and broke out in a rash.  Turns out she had strep.  Nanue and Big Papa were in town for it.
Uncle Matt was there as was Aunt Bob and the twins.

Mera looks a little grumpy here but probably because I had just told her she couldn't take her lemonade into the bounce house.
Nanue got to meet Mary Bea for the first time and got some cuddles.
Look! A picture of all three children and no one is crying.
We took all of the party guests on a beast ride and the kids loved it.
I decided to give myself a break this year and did store bought cakes for both girls.  Darby wanted a peacock cake so I ordered and was very happy with how it turned out.

Mera looking grumpy again with her loot from the pinata.
Darby waited until the guests were gone to open gifts but was very excited about what she got.

Easter 2013

We dyed Easter eggs with one of Georgia's friends and the girls did great.  Each year that passes things get easier for me as a mom and more fun for the whole family.

The night before Easter Matt had his big fundraiser for the year so we were out a little late and without going in to specifics, the Easter Bunny earned it.    This is us when we got home around midnight.
 Easter morning egg hunting.

No Pain, No Gain

Darby has started losing teeth. This one fell out on March 23rd.  She is a really brave little girl.
On top of losing teeth she had to go and get a shot and she didn't even flinch.  She surprises me all the time.
And this is just silly picture of my sweet geeger (pronounced gee jer).

Sleep Around Here

We get sleep where we can around here.  I call it a "fluid" sleeping arrangement.  As the kids get older I get a little more flexible about where they sleep but not when they sleep.  Bed time is still bed time. Here is a pic of Darby and Georgia sleeping together.

Booker T. Reunion

One of my very best friends from high school lives in Oregon and doesn't make it home to T-Town very often but recently she did.  We always have a mini-reunion and we have so many little people among us now.  I was really blessed to go the high school I did make such life-long connections.

Baby Bea is Here!

My brother and his wife had their baby on February 25th.  She weighed in at a whopping 9lbs 6oz.  I got to spend a whole day at the hospital helping mom and holding baby and it was so nice to get to enjoy a baby that is not my own.  So far she is so laid back and sweet.  Hoping things continue in a positive direction.

Crazy, Sweet Darby

Darby had crazy dress day at school and this is the outfit that she wore.
Occasionally bed time is really hard on Darby and she falls asleep where she falls.

Creativity at its Best

Georgia found a Wal-Mart bag and made a jumper.  She is a very clever and creative little thing, not to mention gorgeous.  All of her front teeth are coming in and they are so straight so far.  Very exciting!

It Snowed!

The girls waited for snow all winter and it never came.  Finally at the end of February we got one day of snow.  I went and picked the kids up from school early and brought them home to play.  They loved it and Mera had never seen snow that she remembered.

Christmas with Nanue and Big Papa

Nanue and Big Papa had a very busy winter and were not able to make it to Tulsa until mid-February.  We saved all of our presents and opening them once they got here.

One of the favorite gifts was some foam rollers.  Georgia thinks she is pretty fancy.

Mera's hair curled well but she was sad in this picture.  Not sure why.
