Splashy Splasherson

I had up my shutter speed significantly to catch all the splashing.

8 Month Comparison

At 8-months the differences are pretty vast. Georgia was always smiling, Darby is a little more serious. Georgia was not even up on all fours and Darby has been crawling and pulling herself up for a month. Darby still cries for no reason (it seems to me). Georgia was mostly content. Georgia was still not eating many solids and Darby eats anything and everything. They both were still not sleeping too well at this point but Darby has a furry about her when she wakes in the middle of the night. Georgia was usually happy to take her paci back and go back to sleep. All Darby will settle for is the boob and we have tried everything else. They are both wonderful in their own ways and Darby has such a sweetness about her that I just want to eat her up.

Thanksgiving

The Hair

I have had many requests for the before and after and mustache pictures so hear they are. For those who don't know he observed no shave November in support the Save Darfur Coalition.
Unfortunately he got a swipe out of the mustache before he knew I wanted a picture.

Georgia was also present during picture taking yesterday. Anytime she wears her zipper PJs we find her with her blankie and cheeky zipped up safe inside in the morning. The pics document her process.

Happy Blue Eyes

So to update on Darby, I think her blues eyes are gonna be sticking around. She is mobile. She can crawl, get to a sitting position from a crawl, pull up to a standing position and irritates the bejeebers out of her sister. She knows the words Georgia and Milo in that she will look for them if she hears it said. She can make fafa, dada, and mama noises. She is starting to only wake at night every 4 hours (which is so much better than every 2). I moved her out of my room/bed into her room/ crib 2 weeks ago and she is doing well with it. She has been taking 1 super duper nap a day sleeping for as long as 2.5 hours some days. I still think she is fairly little for her age but we have not had a well baby visit for a month or so. She is eating bananas, baby rice cereal, avocado (she will eat half of one in one sitting), prune/apple mix, Cheerios and last night she tried garlic hummus and loved it. At this age Georgia was still hardly eating anything. She is a lovey baby in that she loves me and no one else. Most of her crawling is done to get to me. The first 6 months were kind of rough but we are entering that developmental explosion and she is becoming so much fun!

And here is Georgia's 7-month comparison pic:
