Pump it up Party

One of Georgia's class mates invited her to a birthday party last weekend and even though we were not overly familiar with this child we went. It was at Pump It Up, which was basically a huge room filled with over-size Jupiter jump toys. Georgia loved the slide.

So Creative

Georgia was playing by herself the other day and I had not heard from her for a while when she started making her "Momma, come see," noises. I went over to find she had taken all of her animal out of their bin and put them in her new potty. So fun!

Happy Birthday Vivian

Vivian turned 8 on Friday and had her skate party today. I went but it was Georgia's nap time so she missed out. Even Mary Byrne skated but I skipped because of my 6 month pregnantness.

Over the Holidays

Vivian had her first singing performance since she started taking voice lessons and she did so good. Her brother, Cal, accompanied her.

Georgia found some old devil horns in her toy basket and loves to put them on.

Nanue and Big Poppa got her a shopping cart and she loves taking her babies for rides.

We celebrated X-mas early with Nanue and Big Poppa and we got to have a white Christmas with them.

Stocking fun.

Ice Storm Part 2

Here are the final damages from the ice storm. Our power ended up being out from Monday til Thursday so we spent 3 nights at the shop. It was way worse for some people and by the end I felt lucky to only have been without power for 4 days.

Boredom at work set in quickly.

Not Having Fun

It is pretty bad here in the heartland as it has been called. We lost power yesterday around 3 and planned on hunkering down at home. We quickly realized that was a cold and bad idea. Luckily the shop still has power and since Georgia has a crib out here and is pretty used to being here we came out here to sleep. Thanks to a really nice fold out couch in her room, the night was not as bad as it could have been. The estimate of when power will be restored are still pretty gloom with 7 to 10 days being the best estimate. Very few food places have power so when you find one that does, the lines are long and they are out of half of the stuff on the menu. We are thankful for each other and that out house has no major damage. These are pictures taken before sunset yesterday. This is the view out our back deck.

And these were taken this morning.

I will be going home before sunset today to grab some clean clothes for the family and check on the dogs. Hopefully I can get some pictures of the front of the house and out beautiful fruit tree which has been destroyed.

First Pets

We have some little tree frogs that hang out during the summer in our defunct hot tub. Georgia loves to hunt them down and stare at them. When it got really cold last week I noticed they hadn't found a very good hibernating spot so I built a tank and brought them in the house to watch for the winter. So far it has been fun and I feed them crickets and Georgia watches them every now and then. Hopefully it continues to go well and I don't kill any of them.

Another Pretty Nighty

Laundry Basket Rides

It is amazing the ways you will find to kill time time with a toddler. Milo has been a lifesaver and is her favorite thing currently. She has gotten really good at saying his name and whenever she sits on the couch or bed she starts vigorously patting the area beside her in order to get him to jump up and sit with her. He is really patient and good to be so abused by the little one.
