Gone Froggin'
With all the rain we have had an influx of frogs down on the land. These are pics of me and Mary and D frog hunting. G prefered to stay at the house with Kiki..JPG)
The 3rd Birthday
Georgia, the morning of her birthday and yes she still sleeps in a crib. She likes it and doesn't know any thing else.
She wore her sunglasses on the way home.
That evening we had a party at Mary's house out on the deck.
Her she is with her Mary so excited.
Opening presents.
Me multi tasking: eating pizza and lighting the candles. We are lucky I wasn't nursing Darby at the same time.

Georgia is such a fun and care-free little girl. I look forward to everyday with her the moment I wake up in the morning. She is such a sweet sister and loving little person and I hope she just gets more fun as she grows.
The Food
Those of you who know me know I love to cook and unlike most cooks I also love to bake. Since the first of the year my baking hat has been on the hook so I can get back down to my fighting weight but Georgia's birthday was the perfect excuse to do some baking. First I had to make a cake so that I could make and ice cream cake (which will be explained later). This is the cake I made the weekend before G's birthday. Chocolate with butter cream icing covered in sprinkles.
This is the ice cream cake I made which entailed taking the above cake and smashing it into a 1/2 gallon of softened vanilla ice cream, laying it on an Oreo crust in a spring form pan and refreezing for a few days. Right before serving I iced it with Cool Whip..JPG)
These are the cookies G helped me make for playgroup. I iced them after she went to bed because I am a little too meticulous to have a toddler help me ice cookies. Plus she eats too much icing.

These are the cupcakes I made for G's class. The little ones for the kids and the big ones for the teachers.

Easter 09
We died eggs at Mary's with Vivian on Friday night. G had a great time and when I put her to bed her hands were green.

I had to go put D to bed so Mary stepped in and helped with the eggs. Mary and I are kindred spirits in our love of Easter. She hid eggs for me up until I had children.

We let the girls open their baskets from Nanue on Saturday morning to spread the fun out over the whole weekend.

On Easter morning the "Easter Bunny" hid the real eggs we had set out and let the girls baskets. G was so excited that she got a chocolate bunny. Darby was excited for her.

Darby's Birthday
Right before her party started, Darby pooped herself so bad she needed a strip down and a rinse off in the sink. My mom remodeled her bathroom a few years ago and picked this sink for this very reason. I think this may have been the first time it was put to its intended use.
Me and my girls.

A taste of the icing.
