Happy 4th Birthday Mera

We had a small family party at our house on her birthday with the cousins.  She was enthusiastic about her gifts to say the least.  

 My mom worked all week on a "fairy garden" to unveil at the birthday party. It was so neat and we look forward to adding to it in the months and years to come.  

 We had a mermaid themed party os here she is gearing up for it.  

Her friend party was at Mary's house and it was a pool party complete with hired mermaid (maybe you remember her from renaissance fair).

 I made the cake and did my first butter cream transfer.  Turned out all right.

4th of July 2014

We hit the ranch for the forth with the usual crew and had a great time until...

...The wasp sting incident.

 But by the end we were all better.

Summer Fun

June fly by in a blaze of summer camps and yard play.

 We took the girls to pick blueberries which we try to do every year.

 The school library was open every Thursday evening so we made a habit og going by and checking out books.  They often times had a dog there that the kids could read to and Darby warmed right up to that idea.  

 We spent some time at the kids museum playing and building.

 We swam with friends who dressed my 4-year-old inappropriately.  

 Darby attended the Kravis arts camp and performed on her last day.  She is on the bottom left.

Renaissance Fair

 We went to the Renaissance fair in Muskogee with the cousins the last weekend it was open.  We will for sure go earlier in the year next itme and maybe more than once.  It was really fun.

 The kids fell in love with the mermaid.  We went and saw her three different time in the one day.  

Last Day of School 2014

 Georgia had perfect attendance this year.  Not a single tardy, leaving early or day missed.  Where's my trophy?

 We had a splash pad play date after school to celebrate the end.  Here is Darby with some of her friends and teacher.
